boxChilli’s marketers of the future

In what has been a turbulent year for most business’, boxChilli Digital Marketing has been fortunate to make it through the past 16 months and come out the other side stronger than ever. Wishing to pass this good fortune on to the community which has supported him throughout the last 15 years, Managing Director Anders has taken on three apprentices and three ‘Kick Starters’ from Portsmouth and the surrounding area.

“I am amazed by the talent and work ethic of the younger generation, and it is my immense pleasure to give six people the opportunity to grow and develop their marketing skills here at boxChilli.” Anders commented.

Each department in boxChilli is benefitting from the untapped potential with their most recent apprentice 17-year-old Alfie Mills, starting a Level 4 in Software Development, having carried out his work experience at boxChilli when he was in year 10. Alfie, who is recovering from a brain surgery performed in the spring is ‘extremely grateful’ to have been given this opportunity.

Digital marketing apprentice Phoebe Ridgway said of her experience, “I immediately fell in love with boxChilli the moment I stepped in the building. Everybody made me feel so welcome right from the get-go, and the atmosphere in the office was so positive and creative. It was exactly what I was looking for; the right thing at the right place at the right time.

I wanted to do an apprenticeship because I wanted to learn more about the industry with a more hands-on approach. When I finished university, I felt like a complete fish out of water. However, when the idea of starting a career in digital marketing had been bought up at university, it gave me more direction and became something I knew I really wanted to pursue.

My time at boxChilli so far has been absolutely fantastic. I’ve been here for nine months, but I already felt like part of the boxChilli family from day one. I’ve been pushed outside of my comfort zone in many areas, and at times it’s been challenging, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Alice Croucher is boxChilli’s third apprentice working with Design Director Luke Keil, and she along with Phoebe and Alfie will be joined by three ‘Kick Starters’ this summer.
